Philip R. Rogers was born and raised in Newton, North Carolina. He was
reared on the works of H.P. Lovecraft, Robert E. Howard, Ray Bradbury, the
films of Vincent Price, Hammer Horror Movies, Ray Harryhausen, Buster Keaton
and a heavy dose of horror comics like Creepy, Eerie and Vampirella. These
works were a major influence on him when he developed an interest in art. He
has been involved in art for over 15 years. His style was influenced by the
works of Frank Frazetta, Boris & Bernie Wrightson. Philip is a member of the
Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists. His works have been
commissioned for numerous private collections as well as 1stBooks Library,
Black Petals Magazine, Fossil Publications, LBF Books, Corpse Magazine,
Horror Express Magazine, Cyber-Pulp Press, Tigress Press, Sultry Heat Press
& Silver Lake Publishing.
Philip lives in Claremont, N.C. with his wife Janet (a jewelry artist)
who
constantly inspires and encourages him. They share their home with four cats
(Sammy, Shiitaké, Ringo & Jazzy) and one skeleton affectionately called "Mr.
Bones".
